While browsing through a friends library in her beautiful Williamsburg apt I came across: Dr.Seuss goes to War.
The book features illustrations of a political nature done my Dr. Seuss. A very fascinating collection of works.
The ones below depict Adolf Hitler among Dr. Seuss's collection of characters.

Acrylic Painting by Dave MacDowell.
I have become very interested in illustration and painting, along with textures and textiles. While browsing various blogs this afternoon, I was introduced to the works by Dave MacDowell. I naively assumed that his ART was simple PhotoShop chopping, screwing and maneuvering but come to find out his work is done by him using Acrylics! How exciting! Below you will find some of my favorite pieces from his website. You be sure to check the site out for yourself along with his blog. He has video of him actually working on his paintings!
And if your in LA he has a few exhibitions coming up!

While in the office today finishing top secret contributors updates for TIWIMUTA I fell in love. A beautiful, rare book of illustrations by European Artist done in the 80's. I am now on the hunt to have ANY year of the publication to add to my library. Below are some images that I found while browsing the net for the publication.
I have never been into illustration, yet this book simply BLEW ME AWAY!
